It's almost here and we are anticipating another Thanksgiving full of food, family and fun activities! Besides taking a break from school and dance, here are a few reasons why we can't wait for Thanksgiving!

Time with family (and friends)

Thanksgiving is a holiday that emphasizes community, sharing and quality time bonding with our closest family and friends.  We look forward to spending this day with our nearest and dearest. And if you're not going home or able to be with your fam, a great idea is to plan a "Friendsgiving" pot-luck, where you and your friends get together and enjoy! Tis the season!

A Traditional meal

This one goes kind of without saying. But we're going to say it anyways, because it's Thanksgiving.  Whether your family is preparing the traditional Turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green beans, or if your family has adopted their own version of a celebratory meal, we all look forward to sitting down to dinner and enjoying the delicious and festive feast before us!

Christmas Music

It's not Christmas YET, but the humming of Christmas music can be heard in the distance, and the spirit of the season is beginning to be felt.  Turn on your favorite holiday season jams and dance around the living room!

Holiday Activities

Consider starting your own tradition by choosing a holiday craft that everyone can work on together.  If crafting isn't your thing, bust out the board games or card games to engage the entire family! Watching a favorite holiday movie is also great way to round out the evening.  Anything that you can do together is the idea!

Giving Gratitude

The best way we can enjoy where we are, who we are with and what we have is by giving gratitude for all! Volunteering to say a heartfelt grace before dinner or going around the table and saying what everyone is thankful for is a surefire way to stoke the fires of love and appreciation this Thanksgiving.  It is about giving thanks, after all!  Tell the people around you just how much they mean to you and we guarantee it to be the best part of everyone's day. (although the food will be up there.)
