World of Dance is hot into Season 3, and we are blown away by the talent, charisma, and sportsmanship we've witnessed so far this season. Not only are the show contestants talented, they are supportive of each other, graceful in movement and in spirit and are flat out amazing to watch! We've collected a few of our favorite performances so far this season to share with you!
Briar Nolet is a crowd & judge favorite this season, and she is a very likely contender for the winning spot. She dances with class and grace, seemingly defying possible combinations and traditional movements. She actually looks like she is floating weightlessly across the stage, and her impeccable lines mimic the beauty and quality she brings to the floor. It's "all eyes" on her this season and we can't wait to see what's next for Briar Nolet.
The Kings - Qualifiers
The Kings blew us and the judges away with their gravity defying qualifying performance. Incorporating some skills and lifts that we've never seen before, the group from Mumbai, India impressed us with their - aerial skills and builds, aggressive movement and tight aerodynamics. The surprising staging of their routine draws us in visually, as they entertain us with a "what's going to happen next?" mystique. Their style, known as Bolly-Hop, is one of a kind, although we feel it is soon to be replicated by aspiring dancers and crews.
The Heima - Qualifiers
The Heima is a breaking crew from Seoul, South Korea who bring prestige and finesse to the art of breaking. Their musicality in this performance is a progressive take on the traditional breaking style. The way that they work together in partnering and lifts is revealing of their strong and solidified team work, not to mention the incredible break solo mid routine. You can feel something special and unique from The Heima when they dance, and isn't that what expression is all about?
Derion & Madison - The Cut
Derion & Madison are an Upper duo who are capturing America's hearts this season. These dancers are able to support each other seemingly effortlessly, moving from one movement to another in such a way that you can't tell where one dancer ends and the other begins. Derion and Madison are captivating in their fluidity and strength, and most of all their powerful chemistry on the dance floor. We are wowed by the whole package with these two incredible dancers. And a standing "O" from the judges doesn't hurt.
Lauren Yakima - The Duels
Call us partial, but Lauren Yakima's talent stands all on it's own. The JJ ambassador and acclaimed dancer gives a breakthrough performance in the junior division, marked by her excellent control, exciting musicality and combination of agility and poise.
